JSBBA KANSAI Student Forumとは？

日本農芸化学会関西支部の下部組織である、JSBBA KANSAI Student Committeeが開催する、学会形式の交流会です。毎年11月頃に開催しており、今年で9回目を迎えます。当フォーラムの特色として、運営や発表などを全て英語で行っています！

What is JSBBA KANSAI Student Forum?

It is a conference-style social gathering held by the JSBBA KANSAI Student Committee, a suborganization of the Kansai Branch of the Japanese Society for Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Agrochemistry (JSBBA).  The event is held every year around November, and this year marks the ninth time it has been held.

 

このフォーラムの目的は？

・学生間の交流の場を設けること
・留学生が国内で英語発表できる機会を設けること
・国際学会を見据えて、英語での研究発表を実践する機会を設けること
の3点です。

Student Forumでの発表はクローズドとしております。
とにかく人前で研究発表を行う経験を積みたい、英語スキルをあげるきっかけが欲しい、多様な学生と交流して研究のモチベーションを上げたい・・・等々、どのような理由でも構いません。Student Forumはあなたのご参加をお待ちしております。
当フォーラムは学生のみで運営する学生主導の学会です。学会発表そのものも初めてという方も、ぜひお気軽にご参加ください。

 

What is the purpose of this forum?

・To provide opportunities for interaction among students
・To provide opportunities for international students to give presentations in English in Japan
・To provide opportunities to practice presenting research in English with a view to international conferences

Student Forum is a closed-conference.
The Forum is a student-led conference run entirely by students. Even if this is your first time presenting at a conference, please feel free to attend.

 

特別講演について

当フォーラムでは、毎年ゲストスピーカーをお呼びしてお仕事やキャリア形成に関してご講演頂いております。
本年度のゲストスピーカーは、株式会社環境総合リサーチの棟方有桂博士です。
修士卒業後の企業での就業経験、フランスでの博士取得、そして日本での再就職を経験しておられる、非常にユニークな経歴をお持ちの方です。今回はキャリア形成に関して非常に興味深いお話が伺えると思います。
就職か進学か、ご自身の進路選択で迷っている学生の方はぜひご参加ください！

 

About Special Lectures

Each year, the Forum invites guest speakers to speak about their work and career development.
This year’s guest speaker is Dr. Yuka Munakata (Environmental Research & Solutions CO., LTD.).
She has a unique background, having worked in a company after graduating with a master’s degree, obtained a doctorate in France, and then re-entered the workforce in Japan.
This event will be a very interesting discussion on career development.
If you are a student who is still unsure about your career choice, please come and join us!
